I discovered Homeless Child in December 2008 through Bas Wiersma giving a presentation. I met him in May 2009, when I had already decided to go to Honduras. In my six months of being a volunteer, I saw with my own eyes how badly these children in Honduras need help. The assistance Homeless Child and other organizations offer is vital, but it’s also important that our own people support these projects.

After my work as a volunteer at Proniño, I was asked to join the committee of Homeless Child in September 2010.

In the Netherlands I work as a medical social worker at the Sint Franciscus hospital in Rotterdam. I want to dedicate myself to the projects in Honduras from the Netherlands, now that I have seen that the money is well spent.
